My hubby spent annually abroad studying in Bonn, Germany and traveling throughout Europe, then when he requested me to produce a geniune Hungarian Goulash recipe I had been just a little timid. With some research and my slow cooker, I created this recipe and held my breath as they required his first bite.
He loved it! He claims it’s as near to “true” Hungarian Goulash as he’s ever sampled in the usa. We offered it over noodles, however typically it’s thicker than the usual stew and it is eaten alone no dumplings, no noodles. Slow cooker Hungarian Goulash
3 medium onions, chopped
1 large eco-friendly pepper, chopped
4 cloves garlic clove, minced
2 pounds beef stew meat or beef round steak reduce 1 ” pieces
1- 12 ounce can tomato paste
3 teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon pepper
1- 14.5 ounce can diced tomato plants, undrained
Spray slow cooker with non-stick cooking spray. Add all ingredients, mix well. Cover and prepare on low for 7-8 hrs or high 3-4 hrs. Serve with noodles.
Note: Add another teaspoon approximately of paprika if you want a bit more spice.
